Beautiful Savanna, GA
It’s a little trek out to Savannah from Augusta – but there is such a wonderful mix of photographic opportunities it’s worth the drive. Down by the river there are boats going in and out and a mix of all kinds of people shopping, trading or performing. You can also pay to take a dolphin sighting river cruise. A little walk a way there is some beautiful churches and historic buildings. If there are non-photographers in the party there is plenty to keep them entertained as well – I suggest a visit to the Pirates House restaurant and possibly a ghost tour in the evening. Map it!
